End of November the regional USK groups of Rhein-Main and Cologne/Duesseldorf met half-way between Frankfurt and Cologne to sketch the old part of Limburg with its cathedral and lots of frame houses. So, no need for straight lines and right angles – very much appreciated!

Bretagne
The neighbours’ house at Concarneau, Bretagne.
View to the other side of the street.
Tug boat sketch at the harbour of Concarneau.
Visit in Douarnenez, where I met the awesome Rolf Schroeter, who incidentally spent his familiy holidays not far away from our place. You can see his version of the historic tug boat »St Denys« on his blog (in fact, his sketch is way cooler than mine ;-)).
An abandoned house nearby.
One of the highest lighthouses in Europe: Phare d’Eckmühl. Well, at least that’s the top of it.
The Kergonan stone circle on the Île aux Moines.
Twists and turns in our »holiday garden« (Zen meditation, part I).
Zen meditation, part II.
The entrance to the »ville close« in Concarneau.
The »Hemerica« belongs to the »Musee de la Pêche«, which is situated in the ville close.

Hamburg
I’ve spent a day in Hamburg, strolling around »Hafencity« with its newly built parts and restored historic old warehouses. One of them houses the Maritime Museum (Maritimes Museum), which is absolutely worth a visit.
The »Museum für Kunst und Handwerk« displays collections of Graphic Art, Poster, Photography and New Media, Design, Fashion, Musical Instruments and Ceramics. I’ve came for the »Christoph Niemann«-exhibition and had a glimpse look into the design section, where a visitor should, in any case, step into the psychedelic »Spiegel«-canteen by Werner Panton from the 1960s ...

1st annual meeting of Urban Sketchers Germany
Just a little bit late – here are some of my sketches done during the »premiere«-meeting of Urban Sketchers Germany in Darmstadt. Two days in September 2015 (September 4-6), fantastically organised by Jenny, Birgit, Clara, Lena and Roman, with lots of demos, workshops, a Sketchcrawl on Sunday and a final exhibition at the end.
